POLICIES
Please read our policies regarding condition, refunds,
payment and shipping—and ask any questions—before
making a purchase from The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Condition & Vintage
We research and guarantee every item we offer—to
the best of our ability—as to quality, condition
and age. We’ve made every reasonable effort to
research and to accurately and completely describe each
item. Present condition, including any known damage,
restoration and/or repair, will be disclosed in each
listing.
When necessary, missing stones are replaced in costume
jewelry, combs and hair accessories. Items are clean,
ready to use, unless otherwise stated. Loose powder
has been emptied from compacts & vanity cases. (Solid
powder, rouge and other cosmetics are left in place
for their collector value only, and should not be used.)
Descriptions for women’s garments include measurements,
since the U.S. standards for clothing sizes have been
changed several times in the last seventy years. For
men’s garments, sizes are given, if known; otherwise
we’ll give measurements. Please email us with
questions about the size of a particular garment; refunds
not allowed for fit.
Please ask any questions before making a purchase;
no returns will be accepted except in case of misrepresentation.
Payment
PayPal payment is preferred. U.S. buyers may use Cashier’s
Checks, Money Orders or Personal Checks. Overseas buyers--including
Canada—may also use Cashier’s Checks or
Money Orders, but ONLY if in U.S. Funds. NO CASH PLEASE,
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Shipment of all items except
those paid by PayPal will be delayed until the funds
have been cleared. We will advise buyers when payment
instruments are received, when they have cleared, and
when your items have been shipped.
Shipping
Items purchased by U.S. buyers will be sent by USPS
(United States Postal Service) Priority Mail, Insured,
with Delivery Confirmation. Insurance fee to be based
on selling price, not ‘value.’ Enter your
5-digit Zip Code in the provided space to determine
your insured shipping cost. Overseas buyers—including
Canada—please email your location with any applicable
postal codes so we may supply shipping cost data. Multiple
items will be combined for shipping cost savings whenever
possible.
