Question:
Can you tell me what's in THE DUCHESS' Realm?
Answer:
THE DUCHESS offers VERY HIGH quality American, English and Continental Silver from the early 1800's to the 1960's, and Mexican Silver primarily from the 1930's through the 1950's. We occasionally offer a limited selection of Fine China and Crystal, as well as some Art Glass, Figurines and other Objets d'Art.
The Silverware selection includes both Silverplate and Sterling Silver, and we guarantee each piece as to material.
We offer Flatware and Holloware from known and unknown makers. American manufacturers include Whiting, Gorham, Kirk/Steiff of Baltimore and Tiffany. English and Continental Silver are hallmarked, which typically desginates when and where they were made; while the makers' marks are present, the makers themselves are mostly unknown.
Our Mexican Sterling pieces are marked as to country of origin, but makers are mostly not identified.
In THE DUCHESS' realm, you may occasionally find a piece or two of Beleek or Wedgwood and some fine pieces of Czechoslovakian Glassware. Stop in from time to time and see what's new (or OLD, as the case may be).
